Turned away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in your way. Establish your word to your servant, who is devoted to fearing you. Psalms 119 37–38.
There are so many things that will claim your attention and take attention away from God. The scripture says turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things. Worthless things can come in many shapes, forms and fashion. It could come over the TV, over the radio it could be a worthless or useless conversation with a coworker or a neighbor that has no substance and no value.
It's important to not to spend time on worthless things. Things that will turn your heart from God things that will cause you to sin and things that do not build you up in your most holy faith. The prayer was Lord turn away my eyes. God help us to stay focus help us to remain in your word. I encourage you to remain in him and not to look at things that do not give value or bring him glory. As you start your day and as you go through this life be careful not to spend your time looking, evaluating, or exploring things that do not bring him glory and do not strengthen you in your walk with Christ. Be strong enough to turn away from it don't spend your time idly on worthless things. Turn Away!
